Q- "Is it painful???”
A- We will use a high-grade topical anesthetic prior to and throughout the duration of the procedure for your comfort. Most clients feel nothing or describe a "tweezing" sensation. Sensitive clients may require longer numbing but the sensation is tolerable. Many clients fall asleep in the chair during the procedure.
Q- "Do I need to have a consultation before my appointment?”
A- No, it is not necessary. During the initial portion of your appointment, we will have a conversation about what you're hoping to achieve and I will recommend shapes and colors based on my assessment of your features and will do a "reshaping"of the proposed design. Also, I will be seeing you for a follow-up appointment in the following months so you may “fine-tune” your design and make adjustments to shape and color. The end result will be shape that allows you to feel most comfortable and look your best.
Q- "What will I look like after the procedure? What activities do I need to avoid?"
A- Your permanent makeup will intensify in color and appear darker and more defined for the first 4-6 days. There may also be an alteration in the color and it may look "warmer" or reddish in tone if you're prone to sensitive skin. There is no puffiness or redness for the eyebrows; two days of puffiness for the eyes and lips. Basically, your makeup appearance will be bolder. It is a good idea to “lay low” during this time and reduce social events. After one week, the intensity will soften 30%-40% and natural.
Q- "What can I expect the day of the procedure?”
A- Please allocate around 2 hours for your appointment.
First we will carefully analyze your facial shape, structure and features, pinpointing how your natural features can be enhanced by the procedure. Then, I will advise you on the most suitable shape and colors to match your skin and hair tone. Finally, using cosmetic pencils, I will create a design by reshaping your existing brow to help you envision your ideal end result. Only once you are 100% happy, I will proceed to numb you with the topical anesthetic for 20 minutes. Each procedure normally lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Lastly, we will review aftercare instruction with you and schedule your follow-up visit.
Q- "Am I a suitable candidate for semi-permanent brows?"
A- As long as you meet the minimum age requirements and are relatively healthy, almost anyone can. I have worked with clients of all ages and ethnicities and helped them achieve their aesthetic goals. It’s also a great option if you can’t wear traditional cosmetics due to sensitivities or certain allergies, and it’s also ideal if you lead a busy or active lifestyle.
Those who are NOT ideal candidates for semi-permanent Makeup:
- You are under 18
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding (Please consult your doctor before making any appointment & may need to bring your doctor's note to proceed with the procedure.)
- You have been on Accutane within 1 year
- You have irritation of the skin of any kind such as blemishes, pimples, rash, psoriosis, eczema, rosacea, sunburn or irritation in/around the area of procedure. Brittany WILL NOT be able to do the procedure until the blemish or area of concern is completely healed or the mole is removed and healed.
- If you show up to the appointment and there is an area of concern, you will be rescheduled to the next available appointment (typically months out) and forfeit your deposit for the appointment time lost. A new deposit will be required to reschedule.

Q- “WHAT IS THE PROCESS?”
- Consultation and brow design (30 min)
- All appointments include a 30 minute brow consultation where together we will shape and design a set of brows that enhance your natural facial features.
- Numbing (20-30 min)
- A topical anesthetic (5% lidocaine ointment) is applied for 20-30 minutes prior to the procedure to ensure maximum comfort. during the procedure a separate numbing agent is used to enhance numbing effects.
- Tattooing (60-90 min)
- Chosen pigment color(s) are implanted in the top dermal layer to create hairlike strokes that mimic the appearance of natural brow hair within the designed brow shape.
Q- "When can I return to work?”
A- Many times clients return to work immediately after or resume the next day; it's up to you and your comfort level. The most noticeable day is the next day. Eyebrow procedures produce no swelling or bruising but the color will intensify in the following days post procedure. Please note: your permanent makeup will look darker than usual during the first week--this is completely normal.
Q- "Do I have to avoid any activities after my procedure?”
A- You will need to avoid contact with water as much as possible. No swimming and suntanning for 2 weeks after any procedure. Gentle washing with gentle cleansers only when absolutely needed. Only the following 3 products are allowed in the brow area: moisturizer, oils (grapeseed, coconut, argan, etc.), and the balm provided or something comparable (A+D ointment, Aquaphor, etc.). Avoid scrubbing the permanent makeup area until it has fully healed.
Q- "Is it safe?"
A- Safety and cleanliness is a priority and our environment and commitment reflect these values. All needles are sterile for individual use and are fully disposed after each use.
Q-“Can I get permanent makeup cheaper than your prices?”
A-Yes, you can shop around but more important than price is quality. My price reflects my commitment to quality, safety, and service. When choosing a permanent makeup professional, you are choosing an artist that you invest with not only for one appointment, but for years to come as you age and change your look, so chose the best professional that meets your standards.
Q-“How do I prepare my skin for my appointment?”
For the best results, please ensure that the specific area is healthy, moisturized, and free from blemishes prior to your procedure. If the skin area is damaged or “open” it may be best to wait for it to heal first. MOISTURIZED SKIN IS PIVOTAL. If your skin is dry it is detrimental to the procedure as this prevents optimal retention. Please take care, be advised and prepare accordingly.
Q- "Should I wear makeup the day of the procedure?”
A- If you normally wear makeup, then yes. This will give me a good idea of your personal makeup routine and style. If you do not wear makeup, please just come naturally and together we can create a look that you’re comfortable with.
Q- "How long will my brows last?”
A- Permanent makeup is long lasting, but it will fade slowly over time. Depending on several variables, such as your skin type, age, and lifestyle, your brows will last anywhere from a year to several years. The rule of thumb is the darker the color, the longer it lasts. To keep your brows looking in tip-top shape, you should have it refreshed every 6 months to a year or so.
Q- "Can I wear makeup as usual after the procedure?”
A- You’ll need to wait one week before you can apply your makeup as usual. Keeping the skin clean and free from cosmetics is important during the healing process.
Q- "I already have permanent eyebrows I don’t like. Can you help?”
A- Yes, I can. However if your eyebrows are grey, black or extremely dark, I strictly recommend having them removed by laser beforehand. This will give me a suitable base to work from. If your eyebrows are faded or light, I can usually work with them in an effort to “camouflage” the previous design. However, you’ll need to book a consultation to see how I can help you. Please note; in some cases- the existing permanent eyebrows can negate the effect of the Feathering Technique. However, as your permanent eyebrows fade with time, I can build up the effect for you. This will normally take around 1 or 2 extra appointments.
Q- "I'm pregnant/nursing, can I still get the procedure done?"
A- Unfortunately, you must wait until you pass this phase to ensure safety and the best results as your hormones and skin will be out of balance and quite sensitive during this time. You may consult your Dr. and bring in a note if he/she approves.
