Feather Technique
Like hairstyles, makeup trends, and fashions on the runway, eyebrow shapes and styles tend to change over time. The thin, barely arched brows of the 1920s grew (quite literally) to the thicker, more natural brows of today. However, even thicker brows need grooming to look good.
Women once had to spend hours in front of a mirror painstakingly (and just plain painfully!) plucking every individual hair. Today we can wax them or thread them, but inexperienced waxers or a simple slip of the hand can lead to disastrous results. Even in experienced hands, these methods can sometimes appear unnatural.
The latest technique, one in which our founder is a master of, is eyebrow feathering. This technique is a form of permanent makeup that provides a 3D feathering effect and is highly useful for filling in sparse or light brows without making them look fake. The results often last between two and three years, but are dependent upon your skin type and how much time you spend in the sun.
The traditional method of implanting color into the skin involves a type of mechanical tattoo device.
Our professionals at BROWS BY BRITT’s semi-permanent Makeup use a digital single nano needle device to create hairline strokes throughout your brows. Next, we inject the organic, hypoallergenic pigment of your choice. This pigment creates a softer look than what you would get by using brow pencils. We use a mild anesthetic to lessen discomfort of the micro pigmentation, and many clients feel comfortable going into public the next day.
If you want to define the shape of your eyebrows but you are tired of the daily penciling and bi-monthly waxing or threading, then tattoo make up is for you. To try out the eyebrow feathering technique in NY & NJ, come to us at BROWS BY BRITT!!
